An antique boot kit Vi came across. She estimates it is from the late 1800s/early 1900s. It is made of Australian Hickok Water Buffalo hide and contains two cans of polish and two round boot brushes. The leather was very dry and the interior lining is severely worn. The fold that forms when the case is opened is showing its age as the leather is weakened. This item will likely end up as a part of a Bootblack Display for the CJLC.
This piece is being sent to CJLC Leather to be archived.
